Rajeev and I went to school together. Back in 2008, Rohit, Srilekha, and Prashanthi jammed at NITK Music Club in Surathkal, India. Fast-forward 15 years\u2014 reunion in Texas. Deep talks, day-job reflections, and the one thing that never changes: the instinct to create your own sound. Prashanthi crossed paths with Kaustubh (guitar) and Zainab (Harp) in\u00a0 Germany. They instinctively understood not just the music, but were people who just get each other.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Prashanthi Sankaran<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Prashanthi Sankaran is an independent musicians with strong background in Indian classical music, she is a pianist and music production. She has over 15 years of Hindustani and Carnatic vocal training from her hometown Bangalore, in the South of India. Prashanthi Sankaran grew up in Bangalore, Karnataka, South of India.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>She is living in Germany since 2012. She is a trained Indian classical vocalist- with expertise in both Carnatic and the Hindustani form of Indian Classical Music, as well as a student of Konnakol (Indian Rhythmic form). She also plays the keyboard, the synthesiser, produces with Ableton LIVE and is also a visual creators amongst other things.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Trained in Indian Classical Vocal Over 10 years of formal vocal education Carnatic vocal (South Indian tradition)and Hindustani vocal (North Indian tradition). Over one summer vacation she enjoyed learning keyboard basic theory and chords in 2007\u2013 Bangalore. She went on to learn Electronic Music production (Ableton Live, Native Instruments, Analog Synths)- Electronic Music School, K\u00f6ln, Germany.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>She has been a part of Beethoven jazz-crossover ensembles, Women in \u201coriental music\u201d, electronic raga music, and has founded her new slow-carnatic electronic ensemble \u201cTishram\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>She was the founder of the Europe chapter of an NGO SPIC MACAY Europe for the the promotion of classical music amongst young minds in Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\ud83c\udfb8 <\/em><strong><em>Rohit &lt;@redgovmusic&gt;<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><em>Rohit sent over some doodles in Raag Yaman, leaving that unsettling Lydian scale loop in my head. Nex thing i know, the song\u2014Currency of Peace\u2014started taking shape.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\ud83e\ude88 Zainab &lt;@zainab.lax&gt;<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><em> Zainab doesn\u2019t just play the harp\u2014she paints with it.&nbsp; She\u2019s the kind of musicians who never leave a \u201cWanna collab?\u201d text unanswered. Next, thing you see her magic in your inbox.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\ud83c\udfb6 <\/em><strong><em>Srilekha &lt;@lekha.sounds&gt;<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><em>She\u2019s got harmonies floating around in her head 24\/7. All she needs is a tiny nudge, and BAM\u2014the unexpected unfolds. Her details that makes a song unforgettable<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\ud83c\udfbc Kaustubh <\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><em>His riffs don\u2019t just fill space, they tell stories. Apart his guitar solo, his biggest contribution to \u201cSet me free\u201d was asking the most important question: &#8220;So where is this interlude supposed to go?
