Tishram is a Carnatic fusion trio based in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. We reinterpret traditional South Indian Carnatic compositions with textures of electronic music, while retaining the deep-rooted essence of the swaras and ragas. Our music stems from centuries-old compositions, often devotional at their core, yet experienced individually by every listener – as divine, meditative, or purely musical. Our sound merges the intricacies of Carnatic and Hindustani traditions with elements of ambient, synth, and modern electronic music. We are trained classical musicians, but also creators shaped by new sonic landscapes.
