Concept
A live exploration of ancient energy in a modern sound form.
Electronic Carnatic blends mantras, konnakol, and raga fragments with live looping, ambient synthesis, and experimental production. Each performance is a meditative yet unpredictable ritual — where tradition, technology, and trance converge.
Story telling through Sanskrit texts and layered harmonies, Konnakol rhythms processed through digital effects, textural synth pads, drones, and field recordings, Slow-evolving structures that invite presence and listening. Traditional mantras, kritis and rhythmic cycles recontextualized to imagine an audio journey to India. Each production is a personal story, that Prashanthi will take you through the answers to her questions?
- Shri Ipanema – what if the Girl from Ipanema went to River Kaveri in India?
- Temple Run – Sounds of the South-Indian temple stone structures
- Hanuman Chalisa – electronic tribute to the household chants
