Prashanthi Sankaran is an independent musicians with strong background in Indian classical music, she is a pianist and music production. She has over 15 years of Hindustani and Carnatic vocal training from her hometown Bangalore, in the South of India. Prashanthi Sankaran grew up in Bangalore, Karnataka, South of India.
She is living in Germany since 2012. She is a trained Indian classical vocalist- with expertise in both Carnatic and the Hindustani form of Indian Classical Music, as well as a student of Konnakol (Indian Rhythmic form). She also plays the keyboard, the synthesiser, produces with Ableton LIVE and is also a visual creators amongst other things.
She believes strongly that music and arts can be a tool to overcome the struggles of racism and promote harmony.

Hindustani vocal (North Indian tradition) training 2011-present – Kavita Suresh, Bangalore Electronic Music Production Keyboard basic theory and chords 2007 (+FL Studio) – Bangalore, India Electronic Music production (Ableton Live, Native Instruments, Analog Synths)- Electronic Music School, Köln.
She also trained briefly under Shashank Subramanyam who is a French Chevalier (Knight of the Arts) awardee.
She learns Konnakol from her Guru Somashekar Jois, founder of the World Konnakol Academy in Bangalore.
She was the founder of the Europe chapter of an NGO SPIC MACAY Europe for the the promotion of classical music amongst young minds in Europe.
